Large Format Printing
Also known as grand printer or wide-format printing, large format printing is used in frequently in the advertisement industry. Using the same process as digital printing except on a larger scale, the paper is fed through the printer where the ink is applied directly onto the paper. This type of printing produces high quality images with excellent colors that are perfect for advertising. There are various sizes of prints available depending on the printer’s capabilities.
Large format printing uses the standard colors of cyan, magenta, yellow and black to produce the high quality colors and allows for a wide range of colors. It is possible to get ultraviolet ink to use outdoors as it is resistant to ultraviolet radiation that would cause the images to fade. This type of ink, however, has a dull color in comparison to inks made to be used indoors. Large format printing has certainly grown in popularity over the years.
